Trinity & Vine City Community Picnic
Sunday, May 18th 1PM at Washington Park
The Vine City Ministry is hosting a picnic for Trinity families and folks from the Vine City area. It will be the 3rd Sunday of May (the 18) at Washington Park
(102 Ollie St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30314) and all are welcome. We want this to just be a real laid back time for people from Trinity to interact with each other and the community. Please bring enough food for your family plus one more person. The park is well equipped with Pavilions, 2 large play areas for smaller children, and a softball/football field. The picnic will start around 1 pm and will go til we go home. So please come, hang out, play some sports with us, and go home whenever your ready.
Newcomers Meeting
Monday, May 5th at 7:30pm in the sanctuary
This informational meeting acts as an orientation to those new to Trinity. It explores Trinity's history, mission statement and core values and is a great time to meet other newcomers and church staff. It also gives further direction for getting engaged with our church community.
Trinity's Coed Softball Sign-ups
Sign up in the cafe this Sunday, April 20th or next the 27th for our coed softball team. This should be a great opportunity to build community over the spring & summer. Games will be held in the evenings during the week. There is a cost to registering but that will change with the number of team members we have. Trinity Women's Event
Saturday, May 3rd 2008 from 10:30am-12:30pm
Trinity Women is held on the first Saturday of each month. During the next season of Trinity Women we will be diving into the book of Proverbs to better understand wisdom and what it looks like. Teaching will be via video by Beth Moore with a discussion to follow. This event starts at 10:30am and ends at 12:30pm. Light lunch & Childcare will be provided free of charge.

Renovaré
May 16th-17th, 2008 at The Salvation Army: Atlanta Temple
Open to all people of faith, Renovaré will benefit those seeking a balanced approach to Christian spirituality. This conference will give Christians and Christian organizations of all denominations a plan for revitalizing, deepening, and renewing their relationships with God.
The conference will explore the Church’s historic role in personal and corporate spiritual formation. Participants will rediscover time-tested, practical tools for growing spiritually.

N.T. Wright Speaks

N.T. Wright, Bishop of Durham, Church of England. Theologian and New Testament Scholar, is one of today's best known and respected New Testament scholars. Before becoming Bishop of Durham, he taught New Testament studies for twenty years at Cambridge, McGill and Oxford Universities. Wright has written over thirty books, both at the scholarly level and for a popular audience. His most recent books include Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense and Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church.

Compline Continues
Every Wednesday at 12:15 & 8:00pm in the Sanctuary
One of our core values is contemplation and we focus on this value during the Wednesday services at Trinity. We have a short Mid-day Service each Wednesday at 12:15pm. We also hold Compline* at the church each Wednesday night at 8:00pm. Both services are held in the sanctuary.
*Compline is a liturgical service for the end of the day. It involves prayer, silence and repentance. If you would like to see the liturgy for yourself visit:
